Hi, I’m Maggy—an early childhood educator, leader, and mom first and foremost. I’m also a proud cat mom, dog mom, and yes… rat mom, which means nurturing, patience, and a little chaos are part of my everyday life—at home and at work.
I believe high-quality child care changes lives. My passion lies in creating safe, inclusive, and engaging environments where children feel valued, families feel supported, and educators feel empowered. I’m deeply committed to developmentally appropriate practice, strong relationships, and continuous improvement in everything I do.
When I’m not leading programs or advocating for children and families, you’ll find me building community, supporting amazing educators, and celebrating the small moments that make a big impact. For me, this work isn’t just a job—it’s a calling, and children are always at the heart of it.

Hi, my name is Tammy and I am excited to be joining the staff at Elm Tree. I have been teaching Preschool for 10 years and am looking forward to this new opportunity.
In my spare time my husband and I enjoy spending time in Milwaukee, we enjoys watching baseball (Cubs) and hockey. I love spending time with my family and seeing our family grow as I have 1 great niece and 2 great nephews. Also, spending time with my friends.
I ‘m looking forward to this new chapter at Elm Tree and working with all of you and seeing your children grow.

Hello! I'm Ms Carol, and I am teaching in the Pre-K room with Ms Vivi this year! After over 2 decades watching children age newborn-12 y.o. in-home, I joined the Elm Tree staff in June 2022. I've been lucky enough to work in the preschool room, in a mixed-age room over the summers, and now in Pre-K with some of the children I first worked with as 2 y.o.s! It is so exciting to watch them grow and develop, and get ready for kindergarten in fall '24!
In my spare time, I like to hang out with my sons and daughter-in-law, and grandson Oliver.. You can often find me Sunday mornings ringing handbells, singing tenor in the choir, or jumping in with percussion, upstairs at St Paul!

My name is Mrs. Cheryl and I have been working part time at Elm Tree since 2010. I have been in the teaching field for 45 years in various roles including a Pre-K teacher, kindergarten teacher, fourth grade teacher, and a director for an an extended day kindergarten and after school program.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and traveling. My son and daughter-in-law live in Ohio with my grandsons, Ben and Ollie. My daughter and son-in- law live close by with my grandson, Cameron and granddaughter, Evie.

Hello, my name is Marcia Kobiella. I live in Lombard with my husband, Randy. I have three daughters and 6 amazing grand kids- 4 girls and 2 boys, ages 2-10.
I have been in early childhood settings for 30+ years. This is my second time working at ELM Tree ( I was here pre-pandemic when it was still called St. Paul), and I love the program and the people I work with. I look forward to meeting you and working with your children.

Hello! My name is Ms. Lyn and I am currently a floating Lead Teacher. I joined the Elm Tree family in 2019 and have had a wonderful time working with the students ever since. I began as an assistant teacher but soon worked my way up to earning a CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential. Before teaching, I earned my Associate in Science at COD and transferred to UIUC where I completed my Bachelor in Astronomy. I think space is the coolest, but I love science in general and other STEM subjects, too. I live here in Villa Park with my parents and, although I have no siblings, I have a very large extended family that I love to spend time with. I also love to read, take naps, and play with my 3 guinea pigs!

Hi! I am Mrs. Jude and I am the cook for the center. I've been here at St. Paul since 2017 and I enjoy providing your children with all of the snacks and meals at the center throughout the day. I take inspiration from the children, I pay attention to their likes and dislikes, and I ensure that all of the children are provided a nutritious meal to sustain them for learning throughout the day!
